We have recently been contacted regarding concerns arising from Myanmar’s listing in the 2022 Global Terrorism Index.
We have today redacted Myanmar from the 2022 Global Terrorism Index. We carefully considered all concerns received, and we acknowledge the sensitive nature of the situation. As a non-partisan organisation, we did not intend to imply support for the junta and any inferences were purely unintentional.
Throughout IEP’s history we have been engaged in both developmental and peacebuilding projects in Myanmar. We wish for the return of peace and stability to the country as quickly as possible.
