This event is a 90-minute Zoom webinar titled "Bridging Data and Action: 'Peace is Not a Spectator Sport'" for the "Global Peace Studies for Sustainable Development" weekly series, organized by Solidarity for Peace and Development (MAMA) and moderated by George, Senior Research Fellow at St. Augustine University of Tanzania. Two IEP representatives Michael Collins and Arinolah Omollo will deliver a 60-minute presentation using a sports metaphor to explain IEP's history, the 8 Pillars of Positive Peace framework (derived from 2007 founding, 2008 Global Peace Index launch, and subsequent milestones), and practical East Africa applications linking data to civil society action for SDGs, followed by 30 minutes of global audience Question and Answers.
