The Rotary Club of Wyndham Harbour in Rotary District 9800 is holding an event on the 'Peace-building Activities of Rotary' to preface the launch of their annual Peace Essay competition on World Peace Day. In this event, discussion will take place about the long term benefits of peace-building and will be held via zoom at 7pm on Monday 20th September 2022.
The Peace Essay competition was established for upper primary school children and has been running for two years now. This year's topic is "Describe the importance of peace and how YOU can contribute to the production of peace in our Australian society", to be launched on World Peace Day, 21st September, 2022.
Event Speakers/Participants
Glenn Stafford, Partnerships Program Manager at the Institute for Economics and Peace, will be speaking about the long-term benefits of peace, including his suggestions and ideas about how individuals can contribute to the production of Positive Peace within Australian society.
