2026 Global Terrorism Index US Launch

AfP and the Institute for Economics and Peace will host the hybrid launch of the 2026 Global Terrorism Index (GTI). The GTI is a comprehensive, data-driven assessment that provides a detailed summary of key global trends and patterns in terrorism over the last decade, drawing on data from 163 countries.

This year's report highlights notable changes in where and how major terrorist groups operate, examines common patterns across borderland regions where state authority is weakest, explores the influence of broader geopolitical events on terrorism dynamics, and investigates the growing role of the online world in youth radicalization.
