Global Peace Index 2023 Launch Event

On June 28, 2023, the House of Lords will host the unveiling of the Global Peace Index 2023. This annual report, compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace, highlights the state of peace across the world, ranking countries according to their levels of peacefulness and presenting a detailed overview of the socio-economic conditions that can lead to peace.

Prominent politicians, diplomats, business leaders and peace and conflict specialists will convene to learn about and discuss this years' findings. This year's GPI is particularly anticipated, with growing global concerns over the Russia/Ukraine conflict, climate change, regional conflicts, and the long-lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As in previous years, the GPI 2023 is expected to provide vital insights that can guide international cooperation towards a more peaceful world.
