Breaking Barriers, Building Alliances: Collaboration to Prevent Sexual Violence Against Women in Politics

The webinar aims to explore strategies, interventions and collaborative efforts to combat persistent challenges faced by women in political roles. It will acknowledge the urgency of legal frameworks, comprehensive data and strategies to ensure justice and foster increased participation of women in the political process.

The Institute for Economics and Peace will give a presentation on its role in enhancing the understanding of the impact of violence against women and girls in politics, how IEP leverages its expertise in developing metrics and indices to contribute to reliable data which can be used in addressing and mitigating the issue  of women in politics with a particular focus on the African context.
