Applications are now being accepted for the inaugural Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme.

This new flagship initiative is designed to empower emerging leaders, aged 25 to 45, to utilise intercultural dialogue as an instrument for building social cohesion and peace.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 22 June 2025 at 23:59 Central European Time (Paris time).

The first edition of this prestigious Programme will address the theme: “Learning to Collaborate for a Shared Future: Using Dialogue to Foster Social Cohesion in a World on the Move.”

Over the duration of the programme, 50 selected participants will undertake the following:

  • Engage in online training workshops during September 2025. These workshops will explore concepts, methodologies, and tools for creating dialogue to address challenges arising from an increasingly mobile global society.
  • Receive a USD $10,000 grant to implement a community-based project between October 2025 and May 2026, which aligns with the programme’s central theme.
  • Access ongoing mentorship, peer learning opportunities, and capacity development initiatives.
  • Attend an in-person knowledge sharing and advocacy forum scheduled for April 2026 in Guangzhou, China.
  • Join UNESCO’s Global Alumni Network to facilitate sustained engagement and collaboration.
