🌍 Climate Change & Peace, New Master’s Degree Programme, Peace Ambassadors Reach 106 Countries
It’s almost 8 weeks since the global launch of the 2019 Global Peace Index. Since then, more than 2000 media publications and news outlets have covered this year’s launch, with a major focus on new research covering climate change and its effects on levels of global peacefulness, and in particular the effect on international migration flows.
A series of Positive Peace training programmes took place across Colombia this year, involving Rotaractors from Rotary International, Colombian university students and individuals from civil society organisations aged between 18 and 30 years. Meet some of the youth that took part in these recent workshops.
Every five years, leaders of faith come together to find ways to transform conflict and promote harmony. IEP’s Founder and Executive Chairman, Steve Killelea, will speak about Positive Peace at the 10th World Assembly of Religions for Peace in Lindau, Germany at the end of August.
Read on for information about our newly launched Master’s degree programme, the latest reads from Vision of Humanity, an Ambassador programme update (now in 106 countries!) and a look at climate change and the impact it’s having on the numbers of refugees and IDPs.
