Serge Stroobants, Director of Europe and MENA Region at the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) will be presenting the latest research findings from the Global Peace Index and the Ecological Threat Register to the Rotary Club of Addis Ababa-west on 12 November.

For more than a decade, the Global Peace Index has been the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness, with the most comprehensive data-driven analysis to-date on trends in peace, its economic value, and how to develop peaceful societies. In 2020, IEP released the inaugural edition of the Ecological Threat Register, which covers 157 independent states and territories and measures ecological threats that countries are currently facing with projections to 2050.

Rotary International and IEP work together in a strategic partnership that seeks to spread Positive Peace around the world and enhance its peace and conflict resolution efforts. The partnership has seen the development of the Rotary Positive Peace Online Academy and Positive Peace workshops in Mexico.
