The Financing Global South Resilience for Environmental and Societal Strength workshop focuses on ensuring the provision of capital in small ticket sizes for on-the-ground users, making it feasible for large-scale institutional investors, and exploring the viability of offering low-cost capital to the Global South.

The workshop will consist of two interconnected sessions: the first will explore how to transition from large-scale funding to smaller ticket sizes (e.g. through the creation of micro-bonds from a single bond), while the second will address how to appropriately price the cost of capital at the local level to support the creation and long-term sustainability of resilience.

IEP will guide participants in exploring key evidence and practical solutions to make these strategies implementable. Each session will conclude with actionable next steps for participants to take within their own entities, driving forward the goal of sustainable and scalable resilience financing for the Global South.
