The Business & Economics of Peace

The Institute for Economics and Peace and American University’s Kogod School of Business will co-host ‘The Business of Economics and Peace’ conference at American University, Washington, D.C., April 10-11, 2015.

The conference will draw attention to the correlation between business, peace and economics, highlighting the need for an interdisciplinary approach to contemporary peace studies. It will convene students and academics from a diversity of backgrounds, including business, public policy, international relations, economics and more.

Over two days, speakers and attendees will explore peace and business based on the following four themes: Economics, Business and Peace, Measuring Peace, the Analysis and Management of Risk, and Resilient Societies: Promoting Positive Peace.

Students are invited to submit their own research papers in any of the 4 abovementioned subject areas. The best papers will be published in the academic journal ‘Business, Peace and Sustainable Development’.

For further information on submission criteria, visit the official conference website.
