UN Peacekeeping Funding

UN Peacekeeping Funding is one of the 23 indicators of peace measured by the Global Peace Index. It is an 'external' indicator of peace, meaning it measures peace outside a country.

Definition

UN Peacekeeping Funding is a quantitative assessment of countries’ outstanding payments as a percentage of their apportioned contribution to the budget of selected peacekeeping missions. This indicator is a weighted average of the previous three years of contributions.

Scoring

UN Peacekeeping Funding is scored on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 being the least outstanding contributions and 5 the most.

In countries that score 1, less than 1.71% of contributions are outstanding.

In countries that score 5, greater than 13.76% of contributions are outstanding.
